China Registered Doctor

The following draft is a part of the report for an NGO, as in the email I have sent to them.

From 1999, a medical graduate in China Mainland is recommended to get his qualification by passing Registered Doctor Examination, RDE. RDE leads by a committee in Ministry of Health and they hold RDE every year[1] . Graduates could not apply for RDE while it is the first year they are in medical practice without registration[2]. According to the authority, there are 21 kinds of register doctors classified into 4 areas[3].

Even doctors succeed to apply for their qualification while they pass RDE, they must register in only one hospital, one clinic or one public health centre. Every time a doctor quit his job and sign down a new contract, he have to register in local health authority again (detail?).

General public could not tell who is a registered doctor until lawsuits. An Internet enquiry system[4] in MOH, Ministry of Health, may help the public to check some information about a physician. Medical identification to quality and registration is the workable way to verify a doctor.
